Features
A number of features are available to be enabled and disabled in your Nexus environment. See below an explanation of each feature:
Allow Custom Envelopes: Allow the submission of Token envelopes that were not created by Nexus.
Nexus removes the effort of covering the fees when submitting an envelope, but enabling this feature, it is possible to submit envelopes that were not created by Nexus. This allows your own FeePayers to pay for the fees.
Banks: Allow the management of customer bank accounts and bank account's banks through the portal.
A customer record can be associated with multiple bank accounts. These bank accounts may optionally be linked to banks that you have configured in the system. Both bank accounts and banks can be created, updated and retrieved via our endpoints.
This feature allows the management of bank accounts and banks through our endpoints as well as through our portal. When enabled, an additional Bank Accounts tab will appear in the customer view, and a Banks tab will be added to the portal settings.
Create External Payments And Payouts: Automatically create payments and payouts for Tokens in Nexus, of all payments and payouts created outside of Nexus.
It is possible that payments and payouts can be created for the Tokens in your Nexus environment, outside of Nexus, with unmanaged accounts, instead of by calling on Nexus to do so. If you do not want to miss these external actions and would like to keep track of them in Nexus in order to report on them, it is possible to automatically create payments and payouts in Nexus for them by enabling this feature.
Since there already exists an on-chain transaction, we will merely create the appropriate operation in Nexus - no additional on-chain transaction will be created. The blockchain is scanned continuously as to not miss these blockchain transactions, but will not create an operation in Nexus with the current date but instead with the created date of the already existing blockchain transaction. Using the blockchain transaction Id as unique identifier, as well as several other checks, we ensure to not create duplicates in Nexus.
This feature will always use the default payment method related to each Token, if set up, else the first possible one, if possible, or will not be able to create the operation within Nexus. This feature is only available for Tokens created on the ALGO blockchain. It is also only available for specific business models. Contact us for more information on this.
This feature will automatically create the operations in Nexus, but take note that the same can be manually triggered in the respective create operation APIs by providing the external blockchain transaction Id, even without this feature having to be enabled.
Document Management: Allow for the use of your own Document Store inside of Nexus for Document Management.
The Document Management feature allows you to integrate your Document Store with Nexus while maintaining full control over your files. Once configured, you can upload, retrieve, and delete files directly through Nexus, link files to customer records, and add metadata to your uploaded files. Nexus currently supports the Azure Files Document Store.
To configure your Document Store, enable the Document Management feature and submit your credentials to Nexus. Your credentials are stored securely with appropriate access controls to prevent unauthorized use. You may also remove these credentials should you no longer wish to make use of the feature. Additional settings to limit both the size and amount files uploaded through Nexus can also be configured. These restrictions will not apply to operations performed directly in your Document Store outside of Nexus.
All Document Management operations performed using Nexus are subject to Nexus user permissions. Please take note that changes made to files in your Document Store outside of Nexus cannot be tracked or reflected inside of Nexus.
Mails: Allow the management of customer's mails through the portal.
Mails per customer can be created, updated, deleted and retrieved via our endpoints. Note that Nexus does not execute the actual sending of the emails but merely creates the mail record for you to manage.
This feature allows the management of emails through our endpoints as well as through our portal, and enabling it will add an additional tab in your portal side menu called Mails. There will also be an additional tab called Mails, visible on your customer view in the portal. On these new mail views you can among other things, view all emails, view customer specific emails, create emails or forward an existing email to another email address, all through the portal.
Payouts And Fundings: Allow the management of payouts and fundings through the portal.
The Token operation types: payouts and fundings, could optionally have a fiat aspect, depending on your business model. For payouts it is after the Tokens were successfully redeemed, and for fundings it is before the Tokens are sent to a customer. This part of the payout and funding process can be managed through the Nexus portal and optionally allows for a 4-eye principle to be applied to the operations, given that your operators' permissions and roles are set up correctly.
Enabling this feature will add two additional tabs in your portal side menu called Payouts and Fundings. In the Payouts tab an operator can execute and confirm payouts to get it to an end status. It is also possible to place a payout on hold or to even decline it. Similarly, in the Fundings tab, an operator can confirm a funding request to be initiated, place it on hold, or decline it.
Note, the functionality of fiat operations like transferring fiat currency to your trust bank account, or from your trust bank account to a customer's bank account, does not sit within Nexus, and needs to be implemented on the client's side if needed.
Portfolios: Allow the management of customer's portfolios through the portal.
Portfolios allow you to group customers. After creating a new portfolio, a customer can be setup to be linked to this new portfolio code. You can use this to refine customer queries or to add value to your reports. Portfolios can be created and retrieved via our endpoints.
This feature allows the management of portfolios through our endpoints as well as through our portal, and enabling it will add an additional tab in your portal side menu called Portfolios.
Promote Background Submit: Promote future default background submission for signed transaction envelopes.
To better facilitate the transaction envelope submit process we advise our clients to use our Background Submit process.
If you do choose to use it, your signed transaction envelope will be added to a queue to be submitted and resubmitted repeatedly in the unlikely event of failure. This way the transaction envelope lifetime can be better managed.
Sanction List: Allow checking customer names on the sanctionlist.
Enabling this feature will allow Nexus to run a customer name on our sanctionlist to possibly mark a customer to require additional investigation. On the customer view, under the Sanction list check field, you can see whether a customer name has any matches or not. From there the match details can be viewed and a user can investigate and then mark the customer as a match or not, and update their status accordingly.
Show Customer Compliance Data: Allow the display of customer personal identifiable data.
Some customer data is sensitive and so is hidden from the portal views. Enabling this feature will allow a customer's compliance data to be viewable on an additional tab in the customer view.
Token Orders: Allow Token Orders to be viewed through the portal.
Enabling this feature will show the Token Orders label in the portal side menu. This feature should be enabled when a partner makes use of Token Orders.
NOTE
Features can only be enabled and disabled by us. Please contact a Nexus administrator for assistance.
